The Guide to Receptors and Channels (GRAC)
This ever-popular bi-annual print supplement provides a rapid overview of the key properties of a wide range of established and potential pharmacological targets, separated into chapters on 7TM, transmitter-gated, catalytic and nuclear receptors; ion channels, transporters and enzymes. Data on agonists, antagonists, modulators and inhibitors are laid out in a tabular fashion, with listings of the commercially available compounds in a separate section. In 2009, the Fourth Edition will include updates on the existing pharmacological target content and additional tables, particularly in the enzymes section.
Distribution – Pfizer kindly sponsor the production of 10,000 print copies and place no restriction on advertising by other parties. Copies are sent to all members of the British Pharmacological Society and subscribers of the British Journal of Pharmacology, and are distributed at the annual conferences of ASCPT, AAPS, and EACPT, at FASEB Experimental Biology, and the BPS Summer and Winter meetings. It is also made available free on the web as both pdf and searchable HTML.
Upcoming GRAC publication dates – October 2009, December 2011.
